Could This Be The First TV Report?
As far as I have been able to research, this was the first television report anywhere that the World Trade Center had been hit by an aircraft, and that WNYW reported this at 8:48 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time. Note that they broke into a commercial to report this news.
At the same time (maybe a few seconds earlier?), WCBS Radio had the first news on radio of the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center. It too was at 8:48 A.M. EDT, and came during a regularly-scheduled traffic report, reported by longtime WCBS traffic copter reporter Tom Kaninsky from the station's helicopter.
I am giving this clip five stars due to its historical value, since this is likely the first TV report (or maybe even the first broadcast report) of that awful attack.
It certainly beat the TV networks by three or four minutes.

Only 15 minutes long! At 9:03 a.m. the tape stops and the remaining 43 minutes are blank. Why?
Please replace this file with a good one. Then get the times right.
For those who wish to see the full morning broadcast:

The times are wrong
If this is 8:00 - 9:00am, and the first plane hit at 8:46am, how is it that coverage of the first plane begins at ~1 minute into the video? Way to encourage the conspiracy theorists! Sheesh!
